Use of user data
Meoton GmbH, which operates the meoton.com website, does not itself collect, store or use any personal data about users, with the exception of IP addresses and data that users provide to the website via a blog comment or by direct means of communication (e.g. e-mail).
“Personal data”, according to Art. 4 GDPR, means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. Personal data may also include IP addresses.
Since we only provide information that is not tailored to the individual user and no business relationship is established between Meoton or Meoton GmbH as the operator meoton.com and the users of the website, the collection of personal data is not necessary for our information service.

- Date and time of access
- Website from which the access was made (referrer URL)
- Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer, as well as the name of your access provider
Privacy policy Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
For more information on terms of use and data protection, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. We would like to point out that the code “anonymizeIp;” has been added to Google Analytics on this website to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Google Tag Manager
LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This is a service through which website tags can be managed via an interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, provided these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.
This website uses the conversion tool “LinkedIn Insight Tag” from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. This tool creates a cookie in your web browser, which enables the collection of the following data, among others: IP address, device and browser properties and page events (e.g. page views). This data is encrypted, anonymised within seven days and the anonymised data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with Meoton GmbH, but offers anonymised reports on the website target group and display performance. In addition, LinkedIn offers the possibility of retargeting via the Insight Tag. Meoton GmbH can use this data to display targeted advertising outside its website without identifying you as a website visitor. Further information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found in the LinkedIn data protection information.
LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To disable the Insight tag on our website (“opt-out”) click here.
